Japan Citizens' Network for Wiping out Asbestos
(ASNET)

It is established by citizens, Unionists, researchers, etc. in 1987 when sprayed asbestos in schools gathered social concern. It holds a monthly meeting and publishes a quarterly newsletter "ASNET" in Japanese.

NAKACHI Shigeharu

He is an Environmental Certified Public Measurer. He was damaged in Ashiya City by the Earthquake. Soon he gave asbestos pollution the alarm, and established Hanshin ASNET.

NUKUSHINA Jun'ichi

He is a Research Associate in the Instiute of Molecular and Cellular Bio-sciences, University of Tokyo. Asbestos was sprayed in many buildings of University of Tokyo, and he is engaged in the Asbestos Problem since 1987 as a cordinator of ASNET.
